Adelphi University offers a range of for-college-credit and non-credit day- and residential- (sleep-over on campus in Garden City, NY) summer pre-college programs for rising high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors covering 9 primary academic courses.
Two-week for-credit options:
The for-credit programs are two weeks and offer a broad range of academic disciplines for students to choose from, including:
- Art and Digital Production
- Business and Entrepreneurship
- Introduction to Nursing
- Psychology and Pop Culture
- Science, Medicine, and Health
- Social Work and Society
- Teaching and Teacher Education
In addition to the academic courses students will participate in, they’ll also partake in fun on-campus social events, attend college prep-related workshops on essay writing, applications, and choosing a major, and experience exciting off-campus sightseeing trips in New York at Coney Island and Broadway. Students who opt for the ofr-credit session will come away with 3 transferable college credits.
One-week non-credit option:
Alternatively, students can choose a one-week non-credit certificate course at Adelphi’s Manhattan campus, located in downtown Soho!
