Since 1968, Aseltine School has welcomed, nurtured and engaged San Diegos K-12 students struggling with learning disabilities and emotional issues whose needs are not being met in traditional academic settings. We work with our students as partners in their learning process students set their own academic and life goals, and we go above and beyond to help them reach them. Aseltine School’s unique approach to Special Education combines the Constructivist Approach (using themes and interests from students lives) with Conflict Resolution and Creative Problem-Solving Skills to empower students as confident learners and productive community members.
