No prior experience is required, so beginners are welcome Join Bay Area Disc this summer to play Ultimate Frisbee, one of the fastest-growing and most exciting sports in the world! With our 12 years of experience running summer camps, you can be sure that your child will learn the fundamental skills and dynamics of the sport in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. Our Summer Camps are built on three fundamental pillars: having fun, staying active, and building community through positive play experiences. Our camps focus on developing physical and social-emotional skills through a combination of personalized one-on-one instruction, group drill stations, and supervised scrimmages. Campers will also experience a fun-filled week of team-building exercises, as well as camp and spirit games. We’re driven to provide campers with a top-notch summer camp experience, while focusing a lot of our activities around the sport we love: Ultimate! Our Counselors are all extremely experienced players, coaches, and leaders within our Ultimate community and have a wealth of experience working directly with children. All counselors are trained and undergo background checks. The counselor to camper ratio is 1:10. Bay Area Disc’s Youth Program Director will oversee all camps. Children will be divided up into categories based on their age and experience. Typically, beginner is for 8-10 years with little to no experience. The intermediate level is appropriate for 9-12 year olds with about a year of play under their belt. Finally, the advanced level is for 11-14 year old players with at least 1 year of play/1 previous summer of camp.
