The fundamental purpose of Ben Bronz Academy is to help students become competent problem solvers, effective communicators and independent learners. Our goal is to help students learn to identify and correct their functional weaknesses and to develop sound, spontaneous thinking habits that build self-confidence and foster greater curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. Ben Bronz Academy provides all required academic courses, along with a full range of remedial classes. The Ben Bronz Reading System, based upon years of research, addresses the problems of the severely disabled reader through a comprehensive approach that gives them immediate success. Twice a year, students and teachers immerse themselves in a special learning project called Research Week, an innovative curriculum that motivates students to explore a new topic. From dyslexia and dysgraphia to Executive Functioning Disorder and ADD/ADHD, our full-time State of Connecticut Approved Private Special Education Program has a proven track record of guiding such specially challenged students to begin on a successful lifelong learning path. The faculty student ratio is approximately 1:3, with class sizes ranging from 1:1 to 1:10 students. The average class size is four. The syllabus includes all required academic courses and a full range of remedial classes. Success for:Generalizations dont work.
