
Bossov Ballet Theatre’s summer program provides comprehensive Russian training (Vaganova method) with a strong emphasis on technique, pointe, partnering, variation and character. The School will be holding a six-week program. Bossov Ballet Theatre at Maine Central Institute is both a performing company and an international pre-professional ballet school. Classes are taught Monday through Friday, beginning at 9:00 a.m. and ending at 4:00 p.m., with a break for lunch. The following courses are available. Bossov Ballet Theatre is part of Maine Central Institute, a private high school serving grades 9-12 and post graduate. Summer attendees will reside in one of the four dorms on campus, supervised by residential staff. Summer weekends are mainly dedicated to optional recreational activities that explore the beautiful state of Maine or allow students to simply relax on campus. In past summers, students participated in fencing, astronomy parties, carriage rides through Acadia National Park, canoeing, outdoor adventure, nature exploration, swimming, stand-up paddle boarding, plein air fine art lessons, and worked on team-building skills on a low ropes course in Freeport.
