Facing the sunset on the sandy shore of Crescent Lake in the Sebago Lake region of Maine, Camp Pinehurst remains as one of the few original director owned and operated summer camps. Camp Pinehurst is designed to offer a premium summer camping experience to children at an affordable price. Camp Pinehurst remains true to its traditional beliefs and continues to offer one of the best values in summer camps today! Camp Pinehurst serves campers aged 6-14, and runs sessions for 2,3,4,5 or 6 weeks. Maximum camper enrollment is 85 and our camper to staff ratio is 3-1. Pinehurst is lucky to have campers from all over the United States…not to mention children from England, Scotland, Ireland, France and Germany. All activities at Camp Pinehurst are scheduled by the director. Campers are grouped according to their ability for competitive and skill centered activities such as soccer, baseball, tennis and swimming. Campers will attend general activities such as riflery, archery, mountain biking and craft with the other campers in their cabin group. Campers are levelized by swim ability and are placed in Red Cross swimming classes for instruction. When the weather gets hot, campers have the opportunity to swim as many as four times a day! Every two week camper at Camp Pinehurst will go on day hiking trip. Bald Peak and Rattlesnake Mountain are just two of the peaks that Pinehurst campers have challenged. Every three week camper at Camp Pinehurst will go on an overnight hiking trip and spend three days and two nights on the Saco or Crooked river. Sleep in a tent, cook your own meals and participate in the sacred Pinehurst “Ucka-Mucka” ceremony… the Saco river never fails to satisfy! Four week campers get all of the above and an all expense paid trip to Funtown USA amusment park for a day of splashes, rides and thrills- not to mention a boatload of laughs! Five week campers get to do it all… PLUS a fantastic whitewater rafting trip on the Kennebec River. This trip is highlighted by class three and four rapids, lakeside camping and a steak dinner on the river- What a blast!!!
