With the abundance of choices you face when choosing a summer program, this is the key question. Why choose Camp Twin Creeks over another summer camp or a program that keeps your child closer to home? Also consider the fact that even though your child might be 9 or 10 years old right now, you are hopefully choosing a camp for the adolescent version of your child. Camp should be a summer home for years to come, a place to return to, to grow, to relax and be themselves. For over 60 years, camping excellence has abounded at the site of Camp Twin Creeks. The sounds of laughter, cheering and summertime excitement never fail to echo through the Allegheny Mountains. We offer 4 main program areas and offer a balanced program from these activities. They are Landsports, Arts, Watersports and Adventure. In each of these areas we offer constructive teaching and coaching of skills. Ultimately, we want the activities to be fun and safe. Once again, the counselors will be the difference. Camp Twin Creeks offers a CIT Program (Open to former campers entering 11th grade). During their 2 weeks at camp CITs spend three activity periods assisting in teaching an activity or working with a cabin of campers on Main Village with a cabin counselor. Afternoon activities are spent as a camper attending activities with cabin mates. During the course of the two weeks CITs also help coordinate and run a special event with the other CITs and one of our program coordinators/directors. There are various other responsibilities with the CIT program such as assisting with the dining hall on half-staff days and performing community service in the local Marlinton area.
