This program encourages girls to take risks, accept challenges, develop their leadership style, and work both independently and within teams to create strategies and solutions for solving problems. Above all, girls will have the opportunity to experience life in a dorm for a week, which is great preparation for the future! We are excited to offer numerous hands-on courses, including but not limited to public speaking, the creation of ones own TED Talk, safe internet and social media practices, and an introduction to different technologies offered in Chatham Halls Makerspace. Campers will also have the chance to learn how to garden, grocery shop on a budget, and cook a healthy meal, which in turn allows for conversations on financial literacy and nutrition. The possibilities are truly endless as campers learn how to strategically work through ideas – we look forward to taking challenges and bringing curiosities to life! Sessions will be taught by current Chatham Hall faculty, professionals who work with adolescent girls and incorporate these transferable skills into their classrooms and in the residential hallways daily.
