Christian Psychological Center (CPC) was established to meet the growing need for quality psychological care within a Christian context. CPC provides comprehensive outpatient services, and educational and consultation services to churches, schools, and community organizations. At CPC, we are committed to helping children, teens, and families through changes, difficult life events, and academic problems. We offer a variety of services including individual counseling, academic and educational assessment, family therapy, college, and career counseling, and play therapy. One out of every twenty people suffers from Attention Deficit or ADHD. However, not all cases of problems with concentration or distractibility are caused by ADD/ADHD. ADD/ADHD is a specific neurological malfunction that children are born with. Other causes of difficulty concentrating may be excessive amounts of stress, other psychological conditions, or a lack of mastery of concentration skills. We utilize psycho-educational testing when a child or adolescent is experiencing academic and/or behavioral problems. Testing focuses on the youth’s intellectual and learning capabilities, as well as his/her behavioral and emotional functioning.
