EF, or Education First, has been helping millions of people around the world immerse themselves in new languages, cultures, and geographies, ranging from middle schoolers through adults for more than 50 years. EF offers dedicated international and study abroad language immersion programs for high school and college students, including programs that award college credit upon completion, and they have become the World Leader in International Education.

EF study abroad programs range from short summer language camps to 6, 9, and 11 month immersions, and offerings begin in April, June, September, or January, so no matter the time of year or desired education experience length, EF likely has a best-fit offering for your student. Unlike other purely classroom-based study abroad education programs, EF also enables students to gain international work experience, expand their network, and explore life in a world-class setting.

  • 15 world class destinations (check the website for current upcoming destinations, as more may be added)
  • Total cultural immersion (students get fully immersed in life in their chosen destination, through outings, a home stay, and international work if they choose)
  • Achieve complete fluency (part of the EF guarantee; students who don’t achieve fluency can continue to study abroad until fluent)
  • Gain skills and build your global future (a great opportunity for students to discover if they’d like a career abroad)
  • Make friends from 100 different countries: Former EF students build friendships for life, which can become key business and career connections down the line
  • EF’s language schools offer French, Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese, Arabic, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean (and English)

EF offers language courses for all levels and all ages:

  • EF Language Travel (ages 10-14, 14-17)
  • EF Language Courses Abroad (ages 16-18, 18-25)
  • EF Language Courses Abroad for Adults (age 25+)
  • EF Academic Year Abroad (age 17+)
  • EF University Preparation Abroad (age 16+)

How university credit works for eligible available EF Intensive Courses:

University of Montana: EF has an education partnership with The University of Montana, through which students can earn language or elective college credit. Students will earn a semester’s worth of credit for every level they complete with EF and receive an official University of Montana transcript, which most students are able to easily transfer to their own college or university.

Your University: If you’d like to find out how EF can partner with your specific university, contact the US based Admissions Team at ils@ef.com for necessary documentation or call 1 (800) 992-1892.
