UC3M offers GAP Year, a customized program to help international students achieve their academic goals and create a better world. GAP immerses students in Spanish culture while learning about world challenges and acquiring valuable soft skills. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate to help gain academic credit at institutions worldwide. During this program, you will learn about global challenges such as nature preservation, global warming, renewable energies, social injustice, learning divides, and others while growing personally and acquiring useful soft skills for the professional world such as personal motivation, resilience, inclusive leadership or mediation and conflict management. Students can choose to take one four-month period (from September to December or February to May) or an academic year (from September to May).
