The Juilliard School’s long-running Summer Percussion Seminar is a two-week percussion intensive designed specifically for advanced high school percussionists who have reached age 15 and not yet graduated from high school. Ages 14-19 may apply. The Juilliard Summer Percussion Seminar addresses orchestral, contemporary, and world music styles to prepare students for college auditions and beyond. Curriculum includes the major percussion instruments: two and four-mallet keyboard, snare, timpani, and orchestral accessories. Students will attend ear training, audition preparation, career talks, recitals, master classes, lectures, rehearsals, and performances. Application fee waivers are available.
