LIGC engages students in today’s most pressing issues related to environmental sustainability. With access to experts, business leaders, and innovators, students delve into their chosen theme and consider how they will be involved in the solutions of tomorrow. Open to students aged 15 – 18. Find out more! Course Overview This one week programme in UK on the Isle of Wight has been created by the amazing Ellen MacArthur Foundation. They are experts in the “Circular Economy” – a new vision for the way we run the world, using our “waste” materials as resources for new products – just as the natural world does! This is such a simple idea and it can be applied to most items we want in our lives, from jeans to toothbrushes. If we redesign our cities and our systems for manufacturing and transport, we can create new jobs, reduce costs, and give ourselves a cleaner world. What role will you play in the Circular Economy – designer, engineer, farmer…? Everyone’s career and life will be touched by this new approach, and we need leaders with vision and energy to make it happen. You will work with the education team from the Foundation, bringing your own ideas to designs for future cities. Come and get involved in the debate, and find your place in the future of stuff. Join us if… You are curious about the challenges we face and how we will need to adapt in the future; You are considering higher education or career paths in engineering, economics, technology, or the sciences; You would like to learn about changes you can make to your behaviour that will have a positive impact on the environment; You would like to meet and be inspired by like-minded young people This website uses cookies to ensure you get the best experience on our website.
