Mgh Youth Scholars Program 2025

The Mass General Youth Scholars Program is a four-year program for students interested in STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and math). The program focuses on career exploration, research and college readiness. Weekly STEM classes, which are held on the Mass General campus, are designed to spark career aspirations in the medical field and give students an understanding of the skills they need to follow their desired career path. Grade 9 Students are exposed to various health care and science careers through MGH 101. This includes two-week, hands-on modules in various departments throughout the hospital. Grade 10 Students take part in shadowships that explore career options and job skill requirements. Students also get paired with a Mass General job skills advisor. Grade 11 Students engage in a curriculum that includes a professional development module and hands-on science through the Knight Simulation Program . Grade 12 This pivotal year focuses on college preparation and readiness with tutoring, college essay support, financial aid workshops and intense college coaching. Summer Alumni Program Students who graduate from the MGH Youth Scholars program can apply for admission to the Summer Alumni program. This program provides additional paid internship opportunities with more intensive, hands-on experience in fields related to the student’s course of study.
