North Shore Teen Initiative Nsti 2025

JTI connects Jewish teens to their peers and motivates participation in Jewish life post bnai mitzvah. We build community among teens of all abilities and affiliations by serving as a communal connector and by expanding opportunities for leadership development, tikkun olam (repairing the world) and travel. For many years, teens from the 23 North Shore communities seeking meaningful Jewish engagement had few options, particularly if they were unaffiliated with a specific temple or wanted to connect with friends outside their town or youth group. Although much has changed since 2008, JTI still seeks to fill this void by connecting Jewish teens to a broader base of their peers. Jewish life for teens here is now more exciting, accessible and rich with possibility. From volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, to enjoying ski days and making music, to The Hubs interactive sessions on Jewish life or running the JCCs Purim Carnival, JTI offers a wide range of meaningful Jewish experiences.
