International academics and practitioners joint together with Prague Summer Schools management staff ensure that each summer school tackles important real-world problems from social, economic and political perspectives. Apply until 10 of February and get 50 EUR OFF. Our aim is to contribute to an understanding of crucial contemporary challenges while fostering the international dialogue. We founded Prague Summer Schools because we believe that the exchange of views among individuals coming from different academic and cultural backgrounds, based on high-quality information provided during lectures, greatly develops the understanding of internationally relevant issues and may have a significant impact on the world’s future. The aim of Prague Summer Schools is to increase the students’ understanding of competing opinions and relevant research about the topic of their choice allowing them to form their own critical understanding of the addressed issues. Students may choose one among the following programs: Prague Summer Schools on Crime Law and Psychology is designed to provide students with advanced knowledge about the application of psychological approaches and research methods in the processes and practices of the criminal justice system. Prague Summer Schools on Behavioral Economics and Psychology provides students with a unique opportunity to learn about the implications of behavioral research for policy making as well as its practical application to the realm of organizational management. In order to better understand research methods, the participants will design and conduct their own experiments under the supervision of the lecturers. Prague Summer School on China: A World Superpower – Myth or Reality? deals with Chinese domestic politics and economy and Beijing’s foreign policy and position in the current world order; the program aims at investigating where the People`s Republic of China is headed and what China’s superpower ambitions will mean for other states, near and far alike. The Prague Summer School on Education: The Future of School will address the issues of effective teaching and mediating knowledge in the current world. We will investigate the role of the teachers, explore the new trends in teaching and look into their effectiveness. We will also examine how other social agents – parents, tutors, and peers – (may) contribute to the education process. The Prague Summer School on Development, Sustainability and Globalization will provide students with a deeper understanding of development challenges by addressing political, economic, technological and environmental aspects related to development cooperation. Many students participating in our program counted our summer schools towards their degrees, usually receiving 3-4 ECTS. Students who wish to receive credits for attending a summer school needs to negotiate the amount of credits with their home university.
