For 50 years, Skidmore College has offered motivated high school students a supportive, tight-knit Pre-College Program and classes in a range of liberal arts disciplines. In Skidmores nationally top-ranked program, high school students in grades 10-12 can choose from a wide variety of Summer Session online courses, as well as select in-person courses for local commuting students. Students earn college credit alongside current college students and work closely with faculty thanks to small class sizes. In the five-week online and day program options available for summer 2023, students take one class of their choice and participate in helpful virtual workshops and extracurricular events, including undergraduate admissions tips and tricks, campus tours, college student life skills, and more. They work with Skidmore undergraduate mentors, enjoy access to the College’s resources, and get a head start on college life by learning with other exceptional students. Along with their diverse backgrounds and experiences, all share a common interest in exploring the academic and social aspects of college lifediscovering what it’s like to take courses with college professors and to make new friends from around the world.
