Citizens for Animal Protection’s mission is to care for pets in need through sheltering, adoption, education, spay/neuter, low-cost wellness and community outreach. As a CAP volunteer, you’re joining like-minded individuals who go above and beyond in their generosity to make a difference in the lives of homeless animals. We offer a variety of programs to fit your needs from teen volunteering (Teen Service Day), volunteering long-term (Individual Volunteering), with a school or corporation (Group Volunteering) to volunteering from home to earn short-term hours (Service Projects). Teen Service Day is a monthly activity that gives youth ages 14 to 18 years old the opportunity to make a difference, gain hands-on experience by walking and socializing homeless dogs, and earn service hours for their school or organization. Individual Volunteering (Long-term) Group Volunteering welcomes school organizations and corporations to volunteer walking and socializing homeless dogs at CAP. Participants must be age 16+. Service Projects are for students who want to earn service hours and are not able to meet the age requirement or time commitment can complete projects from home. Vertification forms are signed by a Volunteer Coordinator.
