The Imperial Global Summer School is a two-week intensive residential (on campus) STEM program based in the heart of central London at the South Kensington Campus at the Imperial College of London, the only university specifically focused on Engineering, Medicine and Life Sciences, and Physics.
Students have the choice of three academic streams (Engineering, Medicine and Life Sciences, or Physics), and upon choosing their discipline, they will dive deep into that subject through a challenging, rigorous, yet exciting and engaging two-week summer immersion.
The programs run in July and August and are broken up into two separate sections:
In Part 1, students will work in groups dictated by their chosen discipline of study. In addition to working with Imperial faculty, students will augment their skills and knowledge through workshops, laboratories, and guidance from academic mentors and subject matter experts.
Part 2 of the program, “The STEM Challenge”, is collaborative among students from different disciplines, as the various groups will unite to work on solving a real-world challenge facing society today, with an emphasis on entrepreneurship and innovation. This challenge is led by the Imperial Enterprise Lab, a group of industry experts to whom students will pitch the project.
