The Wy’East Mountain Academy Gap Year Experience is designed for high school graduates, ages 17-19, seeking a highly supportive and engaging academic and action-packed outdoor sports adventure culture.
Sports and athletic interests covered:
- Skiers
- Snowboarders
- Skateboarders
- Mountain bikers
- Adventurers of ALL levels
- No formal training is required prior to applying or participating
Students at every athletic level of experience and ability will be guided by some of the best coaches in action sports with programs designed and directed by multi-Olympic medal coaches.
Whether you ski, snowboard, skateboard, mountain bike, surf, or just love action sports, you will travel the west, the nation, and even the world as you refine your skills while exploring the outdoors.
The home base for participants is Wy’East’s incredible 28-acre Oregon campus, which includes:
- All-weather indoor skate park
- Airbags for skate / bike & and snow
- Dryslope jumps
- Miles of mountain bike trails
- Fitness center
- Olympic trampolines and more
- Students enjoy all this WHILE taking first year college courses online!
Simply put, we’re a Year Round Action Sports Academy for High School Students, Snowboarders, Freeskiers, Skateboarders, and Mountain Biking of all abilities.
We have programs for high schoolers seeking both recreational sporting activity and those inspired to prepare for the Olympics.
