Link Generations is a nonprofit organization that connects young volunteers (middle and high school students) with seniors through intergenerational events and programs to discuss topics that separate and connect the youth and older adults to bridge the divide. Teens interested in serving the community and volunteering can take part in these events, assist as an organizer, or share their own expertise by volunteering in a virtual program like “Teens Teach Technology”, in which tech-savvy teens help bring seniors into today’s tech-enabled age. While the program is in Bethesda, Maryland, teens may be eligible to volunteer for the virtual volunteering (such as the Teens Teach Technology series) from anywhere in the US remotely.
The Link Generations Storytelling Series through Zoom is a program where we host intergenerational sessions online and discuss various topics to connect youth and older adults.
