Summer Scholars is a great way for students to get a taste of life at a prominent university like Notre Dame. Scholars pick from a large range of exciting fields of study, then enjoy two rigorous weeks of classroom — yet plenty of leisure time is also included so as to experience what life is truly like on a college campus. Archaeology: Exploring the Foundations of Notre Dame, Astronomy: Investigating Our Universe, Life Sciences, and many other programs are available to participants.
Summer Scholars students spend two weeks on the Notre Dame campus studying a demanding college-level course taught by Notre Dame academics. We keep classrooms small and personal attention from Notre Dame instructors is prioritized. The curriculum is a genuine preview of college academics—it is both difficult and fulfilling, and upon completion of a program track, students receive one transferable college credit. Students collaborate on homework outside of scheduled class periods, just like they would in any other educational setting. There is also plenty of time to enjoy the social aspects of college life, particularly those that are unique to Notre Dame.
