If Law and Order, CSI, and NCIS are on repeat and science has become a guilty passion, Tiffin University Forensic Science & Criminalistics Academy Camp is the place to be.

Campers in grades 9 through 12 will study ideas and strategies to aid criminal investigations through science, biology, and law – and become the stars of their own show. Campers will work in small groups with TU academics with backgrounds in crime scene investigation, secret service detail, forensic biology, chemistry, and law.

Campers will learn about:

Crime scene investigations and processing
Autopsy
Fire investigations and fire forensics
Ballistics and bullet trajectory
Explosive detonation
Judicial oversight of evidence
President John F. Kennedy assassination
Dealing with mental health issues that death investigators face

Campers will also take part in activities like:

Forensic anthropology, working with human bones for sex and age identification of victims
Legal proceedings in court
Blood spatter analysis
Digital autopsy (anatomage table)
Autopsy experience
President John F. Kennedy shot sequence competition
Crime scene recreation and writing investigatory reports

AMENITIES

Students will be staying in Clay Residence Hall which is air-conditioned. Students will be staying in a single room. Paper towels and toilet paper will be provided. Meals will be provided to the students in the Cole Dining Hall.
