Buckeye Precollege at The Ohio State University offers academically ambitious and intellectually curious high school students currently in grades 9, 10 and 11 the opportunity to participate in a two-week residential academic program designed to give them a taste of college life and prepare them for the road ahead. Be a Buckeye this summer! The Buckeye Precollege Summer Institutes will enroll students from across the United States for an intensive academic experience on the Columbus campus. Participants will be  placed into a course determined to be the best fit for their interests and academic readiness. Students will live in campus residence halls and participate in a single course specially designed by Ohio State instructors for precollege students interested in exploring new areas of stidy. They will be overseen by a team of undergraduate and graduate Residential Counselors, who serve a dual role as residential assistants and academic tutors. In addition to their core course, participants will also join daily workshops on the college admissions process, college-level study skills, and other content designed to help demystify the transition from high school to college. Evenings and weekends will offer social and recreational activities in the residence hall, on the Ohio State campus, and around central Ohio. Buckeye Precollege Summer Institutes at The Ohio State University offers two, two-week sessions: June 5-16 and June 19-30, 2023. The program fee is $3900, which includes housing, dining, all course materials and residential activities and excursions. Need-based scholarships are available. Open to current 9th, 10th, and 11th graders. US citizens, US permanent residents, non-US citizens who attend a US high school, and those with DACA status are eligible to apply.
