The Art Foundation of Desert Hot Springs is a non-profit organization serving the creative community in this financial troubled yet rapidly growing, desert resort town with a high concentration of young families, many of whom live below the poverty line. The AFDHS is here to provide infrastructure and support for artists and creative people and give them the tools they need to revitalize our dilapidated and depressing surroundings. Our organization is new and not yet funded. We need HELP! I am developing a hosted, managed WordPress website with BBPress forums and a host of other plugins. The goal is to create multi-user community where Artists can post media-rich profiles and galleries of their work. The site should also function as a bulletin board for people to post eveything from art shows and gallery openings, to art supply stores and online resources for artists. Eventually, we want the site provide an ecommerce solution for artists coupled with a warehousing, digital fine art printing, curatorial and shipping services solution.
