Clark Scholars accept applications from students all throughout the United States and the world. Students do research in animal and food sciences, physics and biophysics, geosciences, and other science-related fields. Students work one-on-one with an established faculty cohort and take part in weekly lectures, field trips, and enjoyable enrichment activities.
Clark Scholars is a very competitive program. In 2019, just 12 people were invited, and their average SAT score was in the 99th percentile.
They begin working with engineers and other professionals at Texas Tech to develop their research and participate in service-learning activities as soon as they arrive. They also get help finding internships that are connected to their interests.
Working with highly regarded academics and scientists provides vital mentorship, and people who finish the Clark Scholars Program frequently use their research experience to establish career-related aspirations.
