The Chicago Scholars Foundation provides Chicago’s young future leaders (current ambitious high school students from under-resourced communities in Chicago) with the support they need to achieve their dreams:

  • Mentorship
  • College admissions support
  • Access to summer internships and career programming
  • Volunteer opportunities are also available

We offer a five to seven year program to support students from high school through college admissions, their university journey, and the formative years working towards the start of their career journey post-graduation.

What we look for in prospective Chicago Scholars (best-fit students):

  • Energetic and promising high school juniors
  • Students determined to make the most of their high school and college experiences
  • Students seeking support in the college application process and in career exploration
  • Students excited about mentorship
    • Scholars will have an adult mentor and a peer mentor
