The Chicago Scholars Foundation provides Chicago’s young future leaders (current ambitious high school students from under-resourced communities in Chicago) with the support they need to achieve their dreams:
- Mentorship
- College admissions support
- Access to summer internships and career programming
- Volunteer opportunities are also available
We offer a five to seven year program to support students from high school through college admissions, their university journey, and the formative years working towards the start of their career journey post-graduation.
What we look for in prospective Chicago Scholars (best-fit students):
- Energetic and promising high school juniors
- Students determined to make the most of their high school and college experiences
- Students seeking support in the college application process and in career exploration
- Students excited about mentorship
- Scholars will have an adult mentor and a peer mentor
