Go where the action is. Over the last decade, Berlin has become an entrepreneurial hub with one of the fastest growing startup scenes in the world. Its economy is based on high-tech firms and the service sector, encompassing a diverse range of creative industries, research facilities, media corporations, and convention venues. This summer you could find yourself in the center of it all, working directly with small businesses and start-ups. From professionals in the field, youll learn what it takes to run a small service business in a competitive environment. You’ll also meet local entrepreneurs of Berlin and see what goes into making a business a viable success. Youll live in dorms at CIEE Berlin, in the heart of the Kreuzberg district one of Berlins trendiest neighborhoods. While all classes are taught in English, your daily explorations in Germanys most multicultural and progressive city will provide lessons in themselves.
