Corsava is the newest, most engaging and gamified innovation to help jumpstart students’ education and career planning by cultivating pre-college conversations and explorations around each student’s intrinsic interests, strengths, and proclivities.
Corsava encourages students and parents to think far beyond the name recognition, size, rank, or location of prospective target universities by first introducing students to a broad scope of college characteristics and helping families understand which universities, higher education options, and career paths best resonate with the student.
Here’s how Corsava online works:
Students set up a Corsava account and complete the Card Sort activity, in which each card represents a unique characteristic of the college experience, reflects an aspect of college as well as particular studies, and correlates to whether students thrive in life after college. For each college characteristic, students indicate their preference, ranging from “must have’s” to “no way’s”.
The Corsava card sort activity helps students gain exposure to and deeply consider the culture and environment of potential colleges that they rarely consider pre-admission, which can largely shape students’ lived university experiences.
After completing the card sort activity, the student’s Corsava Report is automatically generated, with a color-coded summary organizing student preferences by category and level of importance. Corsava leverages these student reports to provide a personalized ranking of their college list, acting as an invaluable tool for both applications and final enrollment decisions. These impression reports are also useful resources for students writing their application essays and preparing for admissions interviews.
