Interlochen Arts Academy’s postgraduate gap year program is designed for students seeking an additional year in a high school setting to focus on greater artistic preparation before entering college, conservatory, university, or art school.
Postgrad Gap Year students receive personalized training to take their skills to the next level in addition to expert academic and college counseling to help them navigate the admission process and achieve their art-related and forward-looking goals.
Students will have the opportunity to complete a variety of academic classes, including Advanced Placement courses and/or courses from the Indiana University Advanced College Project. Taught by Interlochen instructors, these courses provide students the opportunity to earn up to 12 college credits in English, history, and biology, and are transferable to any college or university in the United States.
Postgraduate students receive a certificate of attendance upon successful completion of their year at the Interlochen Arts Academy.
