HSHSP is a seven-week summer research program created for high school students who want to obtain more experience performing research while living on the campus of a large research-intensive institution. It is the oldest and longest-running program of its kind in the United States. The program’s principal purpose is to create a social environment in which knowledge and research may flourish.

The Michigan State University High School Honors Science/Engineering/Mathematics Program (HSHSP) is a seven-week intensive summer research program designed for motivated students from across the United States who want to gain more experience conducting research while living on the campus of a major research-intensive university.
