Teens in Boston interested in the performing or visual arts may want to volunteer for the ICA Teen Arts Council at The Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston.

The Teen Arts Council consists of twelve driven, selected high school students interested in the arts and public relations.

ICA Teens Arts Council Responsibilities:

Organizes Teen Nights
Assists upcoming artists
Facilitates various projects though out the year
Supplies Boston’s youth with the tools to voice themselves in the contemporary world of art

For students serious about filmmaking, video, and new media works or digital media, students can take on step further with the Fast Forward Program:

For students serious about creating film, video and new media works
Year-round access to professional artists, professional equipment and presentation opportunities locally and nationally
Various classes and Digital Workshops allow students of all skill levels and interests get involved in the creation of art in a variety of formats, including audio, animation, 3-D design, video and digital photography.
