iD’s Game Dev Academy, held at University of Washington Seattle, is one of iD Tech’s STEM-focused, hands-on tech camps for teens. In this program, students ages 13 through 18 will undergo a deep-dive into the world and industry of video game design, development, and production, taught by real industry professionals with a contemporary skill set and thorough knowledge of the industry, profession, and technology at large. The mission and outcome is simple, but inspiring: Teens will team up with peers to conceptualize and create their own dream game!
Students will leave the program with experience in 3D modeling, gameplay programming, level designing, and will have built an impressive portfolio project, accumulated valuable game industry insights, and developed a network of likeminded friends and mentors. This particular iD tech camp is held at more than 10 prestigious university campuses, with varying dates and availability.
