OTOXO Productions is a film production studio that offers a filmmaking and video production gap year abroad program in Barcelona, Spain, which enables talented young people to come to Barcelona, learn how to become a filmmaker, and co-direct a 28 minute documentary for Catalan TV.
The highlight of your gap year with OTOXO? You’ll co-direct a 28 minute documentary commissioned by Catalan television channel, BTV!
For anyone with an eye for visual arts, the creative industries, or the media in general, this is an incredible gap year program centered around real-world industry experience. There is a film to be made, a group of young people charged with the task of making it, and a television station waiting to screen it at the end of it all!
The tutors from OTOXO Productions are native English speakers but also fluent in Spanish. Productions are designed to combine the two languages to the needs of each participant, and different production roles can be conducted by participants with different levels of Spanish, from beginner to proficient.
Whether you are looking to take your first steps in learning the language or take it to the next level, our productions are ideal. And also, if you want to take that extra step, with productions starting every September and January, there’s always the opportunity to fit some language studies into your gap year before you start production.
