Good Horsemanship is paramount at Meadowbrook Stables. With a variety of summer programs to choose from, children will find something to meet their needs and prosper. Meadowbrook’s summer horsemanship programs allow children to experience firsthand the benefits of riding and caring for animals. Camps are available June-August to riders age 6-9 (Mini Camps – half day programs) and 10-13 (Full Day Camps). Our camp programs teach riders from a range of levels: Beginner through Fundamentals of Jumping! All camps include mounted riding instruction and unmounted horsemanship instruction. Mini Camps Ages 6-9, Beginner through Walk-Trot Morning Session 8:30am-12:00pm Afternoon Session 12:30-4:00pm Younger campers may participate in a half day program. With a ratio of four campers to every one staff member, safety and quality instruction are top priorities. The curriculum is designed to introduce campers to the fundamentals of riding and horse care in a fun and safe environment. Morning sessions regularly availalbe and Afternoon sessions availalbe on select weeks. Campers should choose either the AM or PM session and should not enroll in both as the sessions are designed for different campers from morning to afternoon. Full Day Camps Ages 10-13, Beginner through Fundamentals of Jumping 8:30am-4:00pm One-week sessions are offered throughout the summer for riders ages 10-13. Campers are grouped by skill level for their morning riding lessons. Afternoon activities and special events are based on unique weekly themes. Hands-on horse care, quality riding instruction, and games are part of the daily routine. Cost per one-week session………$750.00
