MITE is a five-day program for current high school juniors to learn about engineering via team projects, hands-on activities, and contacts with engineering students, teachers, staff, and alumni at the University of Texas (Austin)’s Cockrell School of Engineering.

MITE is available to students who are passionate about engineering, science, or math. Each session will have fifty students selected. All students are invited to apply, but excellent African-American, Hispanic, Native American, and Native Hawaiian students, as well as those who have overcome social or economic adversity, are especially encouraged. Students must be citizens of the United States.
