It’s time to make a difference at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital! High school volunteers can make a difference with the patients and families by providing comfort, care, unexpected joy, and by supporting our staff. High school students must fulfill a SIX-MONTH and 80-HOUR MINIMUM COMMITMENT. They volunteer once a week for a scheduled 3-hour shift and two absences are allowed every three months. Due to the high level of applications we receive, we cannot guarantee acceptance. Qualified applications are received on a first-come, first-serve basis until capacity is reached.
