Quinnipiac University Summer Pre College Art Podcasting 2026

In The Art of Podcasting, you will learn how to use podcasting to share your unique voice with the world. Experienced instructors will guide you in collaborative and individual hands-on projects to build skills and knowledge, culminating in the development, recording, editing and publishing of your very own podcast. Over 60% of Americans listen to podcasts. If you are a part of that statistic, you already know that podcasting is a powerful force in media thats only growing in its influence and popularity. Are you ready to join the ranks of the over 2 million podcasts already out there? This hands-on program will help you bring your own unique podcast idea to life with instruction from award-winning journalist and former host of the WNPR flagship shows Morning Edition and All Things Considered, David DesRoches. Co-designed by Quinnipiacs own 10-year veteran and Professor of Journalism Ben Bogardus, youll learn the tools and techniques to develop, produce and edit your podcast, as well as how to communicate effectively and share ideas in a compelling way. At the end of this program, youll walk away with: Your own published podcast on a news-based subject you are passionate about that is hosted, produced and edited by you! A portfolio of work and projects that display communications skills and media techniques valuable across industries. A certificate of completion with a professor-written review and assessment. 2023 Dates: July 17 – July 21 Program Costs Option 1: Sunday to Saturday program, including weekend activities plus full room & board (overnight) $3,360 Option 2: Monday-Friday, on-campus program (commuter), lunch: $2,400 Both options include: Faculty-designed and delivered programming, administered on-campus with educational support staff and program materials All technology and software support Quinnipiac T-shirt Certificate of completion Special Quinnipiac Admissions events Partial financial support may be available for those who indicate the need for support in their application.
