Rooks to Cooks is a multidimensional cooking school that offers a wide variety of virtual cooking programs for individuals of all ages and levels, focused especially on kids and teens. It was founded by Chef Shai Mandel with the goal of teaching children and teens cooking, life skills, and important lessons they can use both in and out of the kitchen, and operates through a series of after-school programs, day camps, weekend culinary immersions, birthday parties, online (virtual) multi-week fall or summer programs, summer camps, and more.
The program is hosted on-site at four different locations in Ontario, though they are expanding rapidly to more locations and their virtual options welcome students from all over the globe. This is a great option for students who may be interested in exploring or pursuing a career in the culinary arts, as well as those who simply want an innovative, hands-on extracurricular activity in which they come out with a clear skill set and outcome.
