The Stanford Program for Inspiring the Next Generation of Women in Physics (SPINWIP) is a virtual summer STEM program hosted by the Stanford Physics Department, designed to get high-school girls excited about physics.
The program is 3 weeks long, free to participants, and held through video chat.
First-generation students and those from underrepresented backgrounds in physics are particularly encouraged to apply. No prior knowledge of physics or coding is needed.
Eligibility: High-school students both in the US and from countries outside the US are welcome to apply. Preference will be given to first-generation students, and students from underrepresented backgrounds in physics, as well as rising juniors. While this program is geared towards women in physics, students of all genders and gender identities are welcome to apply.
