STEM for Rising 9th and 10th Graders at Brown University

Science-minded students are invited to “define, investigate, excel” in this rigorous two-week program designed as an opportunity for students to immerse themselves in a challenging and structured college environment. Students participate in a variety of hands-on activities, includes structured STEM experiences, and take on a project that they’ll present to their instructors, peers, and family.

If you want to spend your summer immersed in STEM disciplines, this is the program for you. Join other rising 9th and 10th kids who are as interested in expanding their STEM knowledge as you are for two weeks of hands-on team research projects, experiments, and design-build challenges.

You’ll be able to pick from a variety of intriguing and engaging STEM courses. Each course combines hard academic content with laboratory or field activities, as well as a research project or design challenge that serves as a focal point for academic work. You could also be able to interact with Brown graduate students and hear about graduate-level research topics. To round up your STEM experience, you’ll make a final presentation that highlights your project.
