Summer Academies at Penn are rigorous three-week seminars that blend hands-on experience with scientific theory. Students in our Summer Academies can pick from a number of science-themed research programs, then spend the summer using Penn’s cutting-edge equipment, participating in new lab experiences, and learning from some of the country’s greatest Ivy League professors and researchers.
The science academies use cutting-edge technology and resources at Penn to give new lab experiences, whereas the social academies use Philadelphia’s rich history and diversity to create a sociologically full summer experience.
