The Eastman School of Music Summer at Eastman program offers students and the community an individualized and world-class music education experience. Choose between residential music programs and camps for middle and high school students, weeklong institutes devoted to various instruments or specialties, half-day music workshops for youths, online workshops, and collegiate classes in Music Education, Music History, and Music Theory. If you are hoping to pursue music as a career and want a taste of the conservatory experience, Summer@Eastman offers two residential programs on campus at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY: Eastman Experience: Summer Classical Studies (a three-week program for classical musicians, formerly Music Horizons) and Eastman Experience: Summer Jazz Studies (a two-week program for jazz musicians). Both programs feature music faculty who specialize in teaching high school students; during the school year our teachers work and perform at the Eastman School of Music, the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, and around the Rochester community. The Eastman School offers inspiring settings for summer music-making and first-class performance venues. Year after year, our students report that one of the very best things about Summer@Eastman is the special bond they develop with each other while studying and performing together.
