The RockEDU team is delighted to introduce a new approach for the SSRP based on what we gained from our remote mentored research experiences during the epidemic. As part of a thematic study track, SSRP scholars will be able to create and carry out their own research topic. Each research track is patterned after a Rockefeller research subject and/or technique, and it includes a team of Rockefeller community scientist mentors. The majority of the research will take place in the RockEDU Laboratory, a 3,000 square foot genuine laboratory environment dedicated solely to the development of biomedical research abilities. SSRP scholars will also tour several labs on campus and take part in events such as lab meetings, equipment training, and more!
A team of scientist-mentors actively doing research at The Rockefeller University assigns groups of 8-12 SSRP scholars to a research track and mentors them in a certain scientific subject. Students will acquire the foundations and experimental methodologies required to carry out their own research project via iteration in small, highly supported group settings.
