Tedeschi Educational Consulting offers customized and comprehensive college preparation and educational planning that thoroughly assesses students’ current records and interests, future goals, and available options to craft the best application and admissions strategy for your student.
We meet with students and parents, and review student records, including academic history, testing, talents, skills, and interests. After this informal assessment and thoughtful consideration, we discuss options, make specific recommendations, provide information on the appropriate schools, and explain the admission process. On occasion, we make referrals to other professionals.
Consultation Service
Designed for parents who want to plan ahead for their children, need general information about schools, or want to discuss special circumstances before planning can begin. In this single session, I discuss realistic expectations and provide objective information.
Advisory Service
This service consists of a visit that includes meeting with the student and immediately thereafter with parents. I review student records, including academic history, testing, talents, skills, and interests. After this informal assessment and thoughtful consideration, I discuss options, make specific recommendations, provide information on the appropriate schools, and explain the admission process. On occasion I make referrals to other professionals. This service includes a follow-up conversation to review the application process (prior to receiving admission decisions).
Comprehensive Service
My Comprehensive Service is an extension of my advisory service. Clients who choose this option receive comprehensive support throughout the entire admissions process. This often includes consulting with or referrals to other professionals, and ongoing communication with the parents and students
during the admission season. I help with applications and act as a resource during the first three months of enrollment. A
personalized, confidential recommendation is provided to each school that we have agreed the student will apply. I am an advocate for your child and communicate with schools on his/her behalf during the process. I continue to work with you after admission decisions to discuss your options and work waitlists, if required.
For applicants to boarding schools, international students and families moving to the Washington, DC area I can arrange interviews and visits. Testing can be arranged when required as well.
Review of Options
Review of Options is for clients needing advice about their school choices after the acceptance, wait-list or denial letters are received. This service includes reviewing records and admission letters, a meeting with the child and a meeting with the parents to discuss the best fit of the schools where the child was admitted.
