The Global Math Circle offers age-delineated mathematics discovery mystery-solving challenge groups for ambitious, math-interested learners and problem-solvers. Our cohorts range from offering groups for elementary to middle to high school-aged students, and while students are group with comparably aged peers, they do not need a specific math aptitude or prerequisite to participate. That said, each group will delve into deep, complex, and challenging mathematics concepts by exploring ideas, invention, and the teamwork required to tackle the collaborative mystery challenge with which they’ve been tasked.
Student groups are led by an adult guide to help walk them through stumbling blocks and facilitate total participation. The circles meet online, using Zoom, including students and guides from all over the world. Sessions are 1-hour each, and most circles meet on a weekly basis for 4 to 10 sessions.
