Founded in 1966 by the Sisters of the Cross and Passion, a high school of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence since 1981 and co-educational since 1986, we pride ourselves on being a community of learners, a community of believers, and a community of friends. The Prout School welcomes young women and men in a committed Catholic community. We challenge all to accept the call to live according to the teachings of Jesus Christ. We believe each individual is gifted with unique qualities and we encourage all to discover and develop their gifts, to take joy in them, and to use them in the service of others. We strive to develop life skills that will empower all to become thoughtful and creative citizens of the world. We seek to enroll students who are eager and able to meet the academic, social, and spiritual standards of our college preparatory program.
