The Richmond Debate Institute Summer Camp

This year marks RDI’s sixth summer camp. Students are introduced to competitive speech and debate during our annual 1-week workshops. Our camp is set up to help students improve their communication, research, and public speaking skills.

Students ages 10 and up who attend our full-day camp get the chance to refine their arguments and participate in a final debate competition at the conclusion of the camp week.

The Richmond Debate Institute offers summer camps focused on competitive speech and debate for middle school and high school students.
The camps, held at the VCU School of Business, provide students with an opportunity to enhance their language, research, and public speaking skills.
Guided by experienced mentors and debate teachers, students engage in thought-provoking topics and participate in a final debate tournament.
