Environment-focused and nature, sustainability, earth sciences, and outdoors-interested students seeking volunteer opportunities that help save the planet may be a good fit for the Trees for the Future (TREES) Ambassador Volunteer program, in which they can volunteer on the marketing, social media, and promotional aspects of spreading the TREES message. Whether a student needs community service hours, is looking to round out their resume with a more altruistic experience, or plan to pursue environmental policy as a career, volunteering as an ambassador for Trees can be a great opportunity. While the organization is headquartered in Silver Spring, Maryland, virtual volunteers from around the country may be able to help out remotely.
Trees for the Future (TREES) Ambassadors represent our organization on a voluntary basis with the purpose of raising awareness for our mission. Ambassadors use their unique talents, networks, and passions to support TREES in their own way.
Our mission is to end hunger and poverty by training farmers to regenerate their land. Through our 4-year training program, called the Forest Garden Approach, farmers plant thousands of trees that protect and bring nutrients back to the soil. This helps farmers grow a variety of fruits and vegetables.
Virtual volunteer opportunities include becoming an ambassador to raise awareness about the program. This includes utilizing social media and become vocal supporters for the cause!
