University High School is an independent, college preparatory high school located in Carmel, IN. Our school is rigorous and personalized, and it has taken advantage of best-practice ideas from independent schools and colleges across the country. At the center of the University High School experience is a set of ideas about students: that they are seen as partners in their education; that they be challenged, listened to, taken seriously, and helped to become active participants in their learning and in their lives; that they be encouraged to think about the meaning of their lives and about others, and to think critically; that they be encouraged to develop for themselves a sense of what truth is. International students are an important part of the University High School community.
